Please find below information about an exciting opportunity to undertake a Linklater Intensive in Sydney this January:
One of our members, Amy Hume, will be facilitating a five-day Linklater Intensive workshop in Sydney, 14-18 January 2019.
Though frequently run internationally, such voice workshops are not often available in Australia, making the Linklater Intensive a fantastic and rare opportunity to gain further knowledge and training in an immersive setting with one of the country’s foremost voice coaches.
Amy has worked as a voice and dialect coach for theatre both here in Australia and in the United States, as well as teaching voice at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP). Amy is also founder of the immensely successful studio, Viva Voice, through which she facilitates corporate voice training. Amy is one of only a handful of Designated Linklater Teachers in Australia, having trained with Kristin Linklater herself. Amy’s work is based in Linklater’s methods, yet draws on the approaches of Cicely Berry, Patsy Rodenburg, Barbara Houseman, and other voice practitioners.
